Students will work in teams to analyze organizational issues, develop actionable solutions, and present recommendations to employers. Through this project, businesses gain fresh insights into their change management strategies, while learners develop hands-on consulting experience.

Expected outcomes and deliverables

Learners will engage in a consulting-style project aligned with an organization's current change management needs. Deliverables could include but are not limited to:

  • Consulting Report: A detailed assessment of the organization’s challenges and proposed strategies for improvement.
  • Change Management Plan: A structured roadmap outlining recommendations and implementation steps.
  • Stakeholder Analysis: Identification of key stakeholders and strategies for managing resistance to change.
  • Final Presentation: Professional presentation of findings and recommendations to the employer.

Ideal Employer Profile:

Organizations undergoing structural, technological, or cultural change that are open to student-led research and strategic recommendations.


In the past, the following projects have been completed by our students:

  • Develop recruitment and selection process including behaviourally based question for key positions.
  • Identify tactical HR initiatives to support an organization’s strategic thrusts.
  • Develop and administer an organization culture audit/employee survey.
  • Audit one area of current procedure and practices for legal compliance.
  • Assess the design, operation of one aspect of the HR function, recommend changes.
  • Assess the design of one part of the total compensation program for an organization.
  • Identify ways in which to improve the systems and information flow of an HR department.
  • Design a training program.
  • Recommend improvements to current approaches to training and development.
  • Design a performance management system and supporting documentation.
  • Develop job descriptions for key roles, including an assessment of specifications and key competencies.
