In 2019, RBC Future Launch and Riipen launched a partnership with the goal of increasing access to high-impact work-integrated learning (WIL) opportunities for Canadian post-secondary students Our shared mission: to help prepare learners, particularly those from underserved communities, for the Future of Work. By the end of 2022, the RBC-Riipen partnership has delivered over 27,000 online WIL experiences, to a wide diversity of learners and educational partners across Canada with the potential of delivering over 250,000 by 2026.

Business Innovation - Fall 2025

Partner with students in the Innovation in Business course as they explore how new ideas and technologies can drive creative solutions. These are upper-level business students who bring a strong foundation in areas like marketing, management, accounting, and business research. They’re also introduced to emerging technologies, but are not tech specialists. This course is all about accessible, applied innovation. The goal this semester is to offer students a few real-world projects to choose from. You’ll propose a challenge that fits your organization’s goals, and students will spend the term researching, planning, and proposing innovative solutions.

Participants will apply their knowledge to real-world scenarios involving property legislation, land use planning, First Nations, and environmental considerations. This experience is ideal for projects that require a nuanced understanding of property law, benefiting businesses, non-profits, First Nations, and local authorities in managing real estate and land-related issues.

Diversity in the Workplace --Fall 2025

Teams of 4-5 undergraduate students enrolled in an elective course on Workplace Diversity will work together on a problem of equity and inclusion while providing culturally and industry-specific solutions. Projects can involve testing for bias in a hiring platform that a company may use for selection, how to communicate with a diverse client base (via social media posts, public service announcements, infographics), training programs for reducing sexual or racial harassment, or strategies to reduce prejudice or bias in the workplace.
Business Negotiations & Bargaining - Fall 2025
MGHC52 Business Negotiations
3rd and 4th year undergraduate students in a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program will work in 3-5 person teams to research and develop a recommendation for a negotiation or bargaining challenge faced by your organization. Students learn about how to negotiate by participating in weekly role-plays. They learn to negotiate in a variety of contexts (B2B, sales negotiations, contingency contracts, labor-union negotiations, salary & benefits negotiations, AI & bot negotiations, cross-cultural negotiations) during the 10-week semester. Students will conduct academic and market research on your negotiation or bargaining challenge. They will provide recommendations including multiple equivalent offers by combining issues according to your priorities in your negotiation or bargaining challenge. Sample areas of negotiation or bargaining projects can be in Mergers & Acquisitions, Real Estate or TV show purchases, automobile purchases, factory purchases, AI-chat bot negotiation integration into sales platform.
Biotech Capstone - Bench to bedside - (University of Toronto Fall 2025)

Students from UofT are keen on getting hands on experience in the Biotech industry. These Genetics stream students are well versed with all the latest tools of gene and genome editing and some double major in Statistics or Neuroscience . There is no strict limit on the group size, it could also be individual students or groups of students. In addition, it could be a summer project that involves more hours.

Looking to elevate your organization, and bring it to the next level? Bring on learners from the University of Toronto to be your learner-consultants, in a project-based experience. Learners will work on one main project over the experience of the semester, connecting with you as needed with virtual communication tools. Learners in this program/experience focus on leadership skills like self-awareness, visioning and goal-setting, performance feedback, creative problem-solving and decision-making, inclusive leadership and negotiation/conflict resolution. They bring their current research-based knowledge to bring insights to resolve your organizational challenges!
