Bio

For more than a decade, Kelly Comeau has dedicated her career to helping organizations and entrepreneurs find the funding they need to make a difference. Through her company, Funding Essentials, she has supported businesses, charities, and not-for-profits in navigating government grants and other non-dilutive funding opportunities. In just the last three years, her work has helped secure more than $10 million in successful applications.

Kelly’s reputation is built almost entirely on referrals and word-of-mouth, a reflection of the trust and strong relationships she has built with her clients. She is equally passionate about mentorship, often volunteering her time to guide and train the next generation of grant writers.

Her background in Community Services gives her valuable insight into the financial challenges faced by social-purpose organizations, and she brings both professional expertise and personal compassion to every project she takes on. Her goal is to connect people and resources for impactful projects.

Outside of work, Kelly enjoys a full and lively life with her husband, grown children, and a house full of pets—three German Shepherds, one Boxer, and two cats. She also loves cooking for family holidays, road trips, and giving back to her community.

Website Evaluation and Launch

Our company, Funding Essentials, is a boutique business consultancy firm that wants to launch a separate business called "The Art of Grant Writing." The website has been started but is not finished or launched. We also have multiple domain names we want to be evaluated for potential use as lead generators. We would like to collaborate with students to enhance the existing content and create new pages that help users navigate the site and find up-to-date information. Students must also consider integrating with other software such as Mailchimp, Tableau, etc. This will involve several different steps for the students, including: Reviewing and updating web pages to ensure consistency of information. Recommending potential upgrades or features that can be included in the website. Creating new pages for the website, with our assistance in providing the content.
