● Built a model for a short term rental company, to adjust their prices to maximize occupancy levels using a multiple linear regression
● Created a web scraper that extracts relevant information (price, availability, ratings, etc.) from Airbnb web pages, exports it, and updates the model, using beautifulsoup and selenium
● The program prompted the company to change 100% of the prices on their properties which yielded a 19% increase in occupancy from the previous year

● Developed an automated invoicing program for an oil and gas company, making the process of extracting, formatting, and summarizing data from invoices much more efficient

● Presently working on the development of an application that employees can access to input their PDF invoice into, and immediately get the excel file back, centralizing this whole process onto one computer

● Led a project, supervised by Dr. Emma Duerden, focused on identifying a relationship between the development of memory and functional connectivity between brain regions in utero
● Assessed MRI scans on fetuses during memory-related tasks that were expected to invoke patterns of brain activity in the auditory, motor, and frontal regions of the brain
● Utilized FSL, Melodic, and CONN neuroimaging software to map out activity, compute independent component analysis (ICA), and create functional connectivity maps
● Presented the work and wrote a research paper to communicate the findings of the project

● Lead student researcher, oversaw multiple other undergraduates, supervised by Dr. Oana Birceanu, assessing the safe implementation of N-Heterocyclic Carbene Compounds for carbon-to-metal coating
● Completed toxicity tests of Carbenes on various aquatic species; Danio rerio (Zebrafish), Dugesia tigrina (Brown Planaria), and Daphnia magna (Water fleas)
● Determined effects on aquatic species through monitoring changes in health outcomes including heart rate, hatch rate, and mortality
● Performed data analyses and presented the findings at multiple conferences

● Investigated the relationship between different types (spinal and bulbar) of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), and changes in the microbiome, supervised by Dr. Gerald Pfeffer
● Isolated DNA from the saliva of 106 ALS patients and controls for bacterial sequencing (16S) to determine their bacterial makeup, and compiled metadata through examining chart reviews to identify extraneous variables
● Collaborated to write a review paper on mitochondrial myopathies by inspecting pertinent literature
● Examined 934 papers, extracted data from the papers most relevant to the review, and shared findings with doctors and academics involved in the project

● Assisted in the study of the effects of the pharmaceutical type 2 diabetes drug, Metformin, on Danio rerio (Zebrafish), supervised by Dr. Oana Birceanu
● Conducted tissue water, lipid, and protein assays to measure the variance of certain metabolites due to the exposure to Metformin
● Collaborated in the testing of toxin and contaminant concentrations in Coregonus clupeaformis (Lake Whitefish) to create a visual tool for Indigenous communities, specifically the Métis, to assess if the fish were safe to consume
● Created presentations and documents to share findings with both experts in the field and impacted communities

● Created an assessment method for the average individual to determine what their cardiovascular symptoms mean to avoid unreliable information across the internet
● Compares user data against the medical textbook “Pathophysiology of Heart Disease” and information from the Mayo Clinic to determine if some pathology is present and to provide a medical recommendation
● Presently adapting the project to also serve as diagnostic study tool for medical students by building a search engine using a Whoosh and incorporating retrieval-augmented generation using a large language model
