Plenty of questions, lots of opportunity for individual communications, well laid out progression. But program seemed to rely on data. That is what does the marketing data indicate. Some of this is obvious. Our reflection back was to be more insightful. To start with the data and dig deeper. To examine the details. How do you actually use what is obvious. Does the data fit one product but not exactly another? Do market segments fit a product? If the product is unique, then could unique marketing approaches be necessary? Even when it is not, does one size fit all the best way to do marketing? Data may be a guide, not a solution.

I was very impressed by the two Ryerson Teams who worked on my project and, as I heard through the students, Professor Pokorchak gave them an aggressive and pragmatic approach for working with entrepreneurial ventures and applying their critical thinking skills. I would definitely do another project with Ryerson.

The students were engaged and most gave 100% effort and followed through on commitments and activities. A couple participants could have put in a little more effort on individual tasks, but they did stay engaged in the group discussions and communicated throughout the program with the team lead or myself. The team lead was very strong. He demonstrated good to very good interpersonal business communication and sales skills. One other team member excelled in this area as well. All team members improved their ability to communicate comfortably and meaningfully by the end of the program. They became comfortable making phone calls to business owners and HR directors. Overall, a very good experience and fun to work with young people.
